This seasoning blend is absolutely a Rub, but we use it as a seasoning as well. It is a nod to the part of the family ancestry from Hawaii. Similar to our Kalua Pork Seasoning blend, this blend just kicks the flavors up a bit with the addition of TexMex flavors and of course one of our signature chili powder blends.
Here in the Tin Lizzy Spice Company kitchens nothing is done without playing with our food. Though designed with beef on our mind, we naturally had to use it to bring a whole new meaning to ground pork/beef combo patties. Topped it with slices of fresh avocado. We suggest 1 tablespoon a pound for the first pound and then a teaspoon a pound after the first pound mix it in with the meat and cook as desired.
